Postcard coloring book
15-leheküljeline taskuformaadis ja pehmes köites raamat (inglise keeles)
2018
You are holding a coloring book of Estonian national patterns. In this book you'll find 15 unique postcards inspired by images from different parts of Estonia.Throughout generations our ancestors have passed on embroidery patterns. Inspiration was drawn from postcards, Russian headscarves, pattern sheets printed in Germany, and most of all from nature. A magic touch was added to natural sights and thus beautiful fantasy flowers were born with no counterpart in real life.Women peeped at each other's handcrafted patterns. Trying to imitate others, every master found their own tips and tricks. Patterns and colors were often unique. No embroidery was similar to another, but you could always sense the spirit of the specific community. Now it's your turn to create unique color combinations and see how different colors work and play together.Decorate headpieces, skirts, sleeves, color in poppies, cornflowers, daisies, fantasy flowers, crosses and squares. You can work wonders on both geometric ornaments from Southern Estonia and plant ornaments from Northern Estonia – symbols representing power, love and wealth.
We wish you the best of luck for creating your own color combinations full of joy!
