The present Transactions are devoted to a discussion of research material collected under the scientific supervision of prof. D. Sc. L. Reintam and Ass. Prof. Cand. Sc. E. Turbas at the Department of Soil Science and Agronomical Chemistry to fulfil the complex task of investigation on the biological productivity, pedogenesis, liming and fertilizer application. The majority of papers presented also report the results of the studies carried out for the progress of International Programme «Man and Biosphere».
