Forced Labor: The Communist Betrayal of Human Rights
An Oceana Publication · 1953
«A New Slavery» is the first document of its kind, a detailed expose of forced labor camps behind the Iron Curtain, where some 8 to 15 million persons are confined. Interned for «political offenses», which are not tried by courts but by administrative bureaus of the secret police, these unfortunates are forced to labor on gigantic state industrial and agricultural projects – the «red ants» of Communism, as editor Roger N. Baldwin describes them.
