The present study aid is meant as additional material to the textbook «Advanced English for the Estonian learner» I. It consists of the most common conversational formulas and nine conversational topics which are envisaged in the textbook and the programme of English for the first year students. In the textbook the necessary vocabulary for the topics is scattered about the whole textbook, but here the vocabulary is arranged according to the topics in such a way that it could be handy for students while preparing for discussions on the above mentioned topics.
