Kogumik on pühendatud Eesti diplomaadi ja riigimehe Kaarel Robert Pusta mälestusele. Iga autor puudutab vastavalt oma erialale mõnda Baltikumi käsitlevat küsimust. Andes nii oma panuse K. R. Pusta mälestuse jäädvustamiseks süvendavad nad teadlikkust sellest, et Baltikum on regioon, mille saatusest mitmeti oleneb ka Euroopa julgeolek.
