Situated on Karl Gustav's bastion on Toome Hill in Tartu, the Old Anatomical Theatre has won fame for the University of Tartu throughout times. For nearly two hundred years, the building witnessed the impressive achievements and personal brilliance of the best medical scientists of the University of Tartu. In the autumn of 1999. however, life at the Old Anatomical Theatre came to a standstill. Although the time has stopped, the historical aura persists and the building is longing for a new role in the future of the University.
