Käesolev uurimus püüab anda ülevaate Eesti energiasektori praegusest olukorrast ning võimalikest tulevikuarengutest ülemaailmse kliimasoojenemise kontekstis. Olulise osa raamatust moodustab üks põhiteemasid globaalses kliimamuutuses: kasvuhoonegaaside vähendamise majanduslik analüüs väikeriigi kontekstis, kes on sisenemas turumajandusse kõigi selle erinevate võimaluste ja juhenditega.


Estonia is in the process of intensive transition from a centrally planned to a market economy. The reforming of the whole economy, including the energy sector, is underway at present, therefore the current situation is permanently changing. This in its turn complicates the overall characterisation of the situation and makes it difficult to have well founded basis for further forecasts and projections.
